Podium at Brno!

Second place for Darren and Tomas

After showing they were a winning combination at Silverstone a few weeks ago, Darren and Tomas (Enge) came close again today with a second place finish in the FIA GT1 World Championship race at Brno.  The pair had a great run in qualifying and ultimately Tomas’ lap gave them a P3 grid spot.  Here’s what Darren had to say after the race:

 “At the start I had a good run on the second-placed Maserati up the inside, but all the action was on the outside and Peter (Dumbreck) made up some places. I was happy to tuck in there and just have a solid run before handing it over for the pit stops. It was a very close race with Peter. There were places he was quicker and places where I was quicker but overall we were very evenly matched. Before the race we had no points so to throw it away in a stupid do or die move at the moment would have been foolish. We were right behind the Nissan as we came in for the pit stop. Our guys do a fantastic job in the pits every time, they’re really fast and it enabled Tomas to leapfrog them in the pits. Job done!”
