NEWS FLASH ...Darren has won the world's toughest endurance race for a second year running, driving his Aston Martin GT1 to victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.  Go to latest news for a full report.

Darren Turner is one of Britain's most versatile, successful and well-supported racing drivers. As a member of the SEAT Sport UK British Touring Car team he is racing alongside Jason Plato for a second full season, and will be aiming to improve upon his three race wins in 2007 and challenge for the Drivers' Championship title.

A key figure in the Aston Martin Racing team, Darren has completed more testing and racing miles in the internationally successful Aston Martin DBR9 than any other driver. In 2007 he achieved one of his, and Aston Martin's, long-held ambitions by winning the GT1 category of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He also successfully took part in sportscar championships on both sides of the Atlantic, something he will be repeating on a limited basis in 2008 to fit in with his touring car commitments.

Winning the prestigious BRDC McLaren Autosport Young Driver of the Year accolade in 1996 led to an eight-year contract with McLaren F1 as part of their test and development team, and Darren is now very much in demand in F1 for his development skills. He also became one of the judges for the 2007 Young Driver scheme...

Fitting in a love of flying, a busy business portfolio and renovation of a barn doesn't leave much time for the 34-year-old to sit still. But that's how he likes life. He lives it at speed, whether in a racing car or out of it.

Darren, 34, lives near Banbury in Oxfordshire. Successful in many different categories of motorsport, taking wins, podiums and points at almost every outing, he's going all out for 2008 BTCC success. He remains a firm favourite with teams, fans, and media alike.
