PREPARING FOR LE MANS

13/05/2008

Darren Turner will be returning to Le Mans in a month's time to defend his GT1 class winner's crown, and he has left no stone unturned in his preparations for the event.

As well as following a newly intensified fitness campaign and dietary regime, the Oxfordshire based driver will also be benefiting from the use of a product called Immun'Âge which is a completely natural dietary supplement derived from papayas. Osato International, Inc., the Japanese company which produces and markets Immun'Âge, is also pleased to be able to support Darren as a personal sponsor for the 24 hour race.

Immun'Âge, which has been the subject of studies by universities in Europe, USA and Japan, has been found to reduce DNA damage after sporting activities. It helps the body fight against excess free radicals caused by environmental factors such as pollution, noise, smoke or alcohol, and combat the weakening of the body's natural defenses. Its anti-oxidant and immune system stimulating properties aid the body to combat illnesses such as infections (colds, flu, sore throat), inflammation or fatigue – the latter obviously being a key factor at Le Mans.

The Osato Research Institute's Yuki Hayashi, who will be in France to support both driver and the Aston Martin Racing team, said of the association with Darren, "We are very interested in the event from the point of view of what Immun'Âge can do to protect the driver during the race, and to aid his recovery afterwards. We are proud to collaborate with Darren at the 2008 Le Mans event and be able to conduct comparative studies on his DNA with other drivers not using Immun'Âge.

"We were very happy that Darren's 009 car won the race last year and we were very glad to hear that he was so convinced about the effects of Immun'Âge in helping him feel far less exhausted than in previous years. We understand that to win you need a good car, good drivers and a good team, and we want to contribute our part in keeping everyone in a healthy condition."

The 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place on 14/15th June, starting at 3.00 pm on the Saturday.
